I have an amusing anacdote! (spelled incorrectly obviously!)
On the first gaming session with Mark I was absent when he was rolling his magic items with the DM and he rolled up a Qualls token for a 60' high oak tree. Thus spawning the remark, "Where am I going to use a 60' high oak tree in the desert????!!!"
One of the first encounters on the same night was a purple worm herd racing through the desert. Sir John said "Ah, are there any tree's near by?" Thus the 60' high oak tree was very useful, as it turns out!
