Puma City is a new shop made from re-used shipping containers in a very vivid red colour. The design is very clever and I like the way they have used the very strong structure to cantilever about 2/3 of a container to create a beer patio! :-D

Green Blob installation to an office atrium. Not a bad idea but the green must give a very disturbing light cast to the offices.

This Bridge looks very cool. I liked the development sketches that are shown in the article!

Dezeen have published the Concessions Building in Morecambe that was designed by Arca and worked on by yours truly! Nice building and a great photographs too. Tim Soar was the photographer again as with the Tate Liverpool. I am very proud of being part of the process.

The chair and sign were not anything to do with us! :-D

Nice, almost makes it worth going to Morecambe...probably not until the weather gets a little warmer mind!

Those photos are pretty good, especially the one you've linked to. Definitely one to point out you worked on if you're in Morecambe: makes a welcome change from the little hut-cafe things.

I like it when things I work on get published. I think that I am a typical egotistical Architect.

New York Times has published a very imaginative way of using lego to depict New York City iconic images. Very cool, I think you will all agree.

Magma Architecture have created an exhibition of their work for a gallery in Germany. Ironically this is very similar to a design that I did whilst at a small, to be unamed, Architectural practice in Didsbury. This unnamed project was not liked by the director and this just demonstrates that it was a brilliant idea. Shame I could not have got in there before them!

Kit for creating an imaginary affair. Quite cool, don't know why. There must be better ways of getting rid of someone!

Ikea are starting to sell totally cool solar powered glow sticks for the garden. These are so much better than the bog standard lamps that seem to be falling out of our ears. Good show Ikea.

Here is another better image of it too!

Will upload the image properly in a moment.

I had to have a quick chuckle at The Pirate Bay being number 10. Didn't realise it was quite that popular.

Latest Tate Modern Design one gets the feeling that British Planning System is once again neutering a great design practice. Don't get me wrong it is strong and classic but given the other designs by the same Architectural practice you have to wonder what hoops they are being forced to jump through.

New York Information Centre has a nice use of colour, light and the light fabric Barrisol. Here is a good image.

MSA Design Awards 2009 have been announced with Arca gaining an award for best small commercial with the Silver Cafe in Morecambe. The BDP Office also won an award for Best Commercial Building.

I was involved with some of the design and detailing work with the Silver Cafe and it is nice to see all the hard work Arca put into the building come to fruition.

I work in the new BDP office and am very happy with the environment they have created. All round an interesting set of design awards. I wish I had attended the event now.
