Fubiz a French design blog (in french too if you are keen to do a bit of translating) has some really nice photographs / illustraitions on their site that are really interesting. Re: Photography News
James Henry was using the BDP office as part of a film for the Conservative Party Conference on Friday. Looking at some of his adverts it was pretty amazing stuff. I will be looking out for the video to see if we can spot the office - they are after about 15-20 seconds of footage apparently.

Re: Photography News
The art of illusion in food advertising as presented by the Guardian. I think a lot of the difference is the 2hours to prepare the advert food and 25 seconds allowed to prepare the real thing.

There is a risk of getting arrested for taking photos!!!
Apparently the police (or more accurately those security guard-cum-copper support thingies) are using anti terror legislation in a STUPID way.

You don't read the right forums, this has been going on for ages.
The real culprits at causing this problems are badly trained PCSOs, who don't know the law and make it up as they go along.

Re: Photography News
I have a happy seasonal first being the ONLY forum being read by the famous Edinburgh Wilson!
The arrested for taking photographs is annoying. I was stopped taking photographs of Piccadilly One in Manchester. When asked to stop I smiled politely agreed and as soon as the guard turned his back took another photograph. I think he got the picture pretty quick.

The Police Constables Association has issued an open letter saying Section 44 should not be used to harras photographers without good reason. Quote. The Sunday Times.
I also found out the officer must have sought the approval of their senior officer prior to stop and search.

Re: Photography News
Here's one for the "censorship in photgraphy" debate: alleged "negative images of Uzbekistan".
Obviously this doesn't show the whole book, but a woman's now facing jail or "labour" based on subjective judgements. I might go as far to suggest that the government there do something about the quality of life in its country, if it's that concerned, instead of punishing those who depict it.

100 photographs to make you want to save te world. Some photographs from the newly created Environment Agency in 1970's USA have been dug out of archive and posted on Flickr. They look good on a phone but I want to see them on a desktop before I comment further.
