Re: REVOLVING skyscraper!
Cool. I wonder how much it will cost to service the mechanism when it breaks. . . .

Re: REVOLVING skyscraper!
or even better... will they have to lift off the houses above to get at yours?! It'd be like one MASSIVE game of Tower of Hanoi
(If that means nothing to you... http://www.cut-the-knot.org/recurrence/hanoi.shtml that'll really eat your coffee break).
The architect said its all wind powered too, could be noisy!

I love the fact that unless you buy an entire floor, the architect can control the rotation from his laptop. That would suck: some sodding designer ruins your views and gets the sun in your eyes on a whim! Maybe they're subtly encouraging people to buy whole floors?

Re: REVOLVING skyscraper!
I wonder how fast it would go. Would you set it for a view in the morning and it would just be coming into place in the evening or is is super fast? I wonder if people will get sea sick. . . . .
On another note, the tower will look better if the architect has control. I think we should have control over all of our buildings. That way the pesky customers can have a better end user experience (though, less control!).

Each floor "rotates up to once an hour". It seems fast enough: if you wanted to, you could track the sun with your living room, which would be kinda cool... if you like sunlight, that is.

Or if you liked watching films you could anti track the sun. If everyone wants to track the sun though it will just look like a normal tower. . . .

Re: REVOLVING skyscraper!
It's really cool but may have a few DDA issues (stepping from lift to revolving floor)!

Ha ha! I've now got this great mental image of a pissed up yuppie arriving home and thinking "F*CK! Where's the front door gone!"

Re: REVOLVING skyscraper!
A guy at Arca actually had a bloke try and bash down his front door. The bloke got home, went to the wrong floor and thought his lock was broken and tried to break in. What a dimboid!
