Batman: The Dark Knight
Tickets for the new Batman film are selling like hot cakes. They are literally showing the film at 3am to deal with the demand for tickets. It is going to be huge! I will be wanting to see this film very quickly after it debuts on 11 July 2008. Bring it ON!

I'm with you on this one. Not quite to the point of seeing at 3am... but I'll definitely wanna catch it fairly quickly after release.

Apparently Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker is awesome and will probably get him a posthumous Oscar nomination.
Which bodes very, very well...!

Count me in - quite like Heath Ledger and John has been going on about it for several months now....
Re: Batman: The Dark Knight
I could certainly make some time to see it, seeing as it promises to be friggin' awesome!

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight
Michael Bay apparently submitted an unsolicited script for the Dark Knight. There is a brilliant quote from the script
There you have it gals. All you have to be is stunning with large breasts, platinum blond and wear glasses and you are Michael Bay's idea of the most beautiful, smartest woman in the world. I hope the image does not catch on!Michael Bay Script wrote:We pan to a beautiful woman: Platinum blond with a huge rack. She is the hottest woman in the world but she wears glasses because she is also the smartest woman in the world.

Nice find, has a couple of other similar lines to the one you quoted in it as well. Some of the comments below the article were funny too.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight
This film received a 94 on MetaCritic or 9.7 out of ten for the user ratings. When are we all going to see this film? Hopefully in a week or so when the crowds have died down slightly but before it goes onto the midnight watch!

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight
Well I'm busy moving flats on the release weekend, but should be free any night of the week following until the Saturday (2nd August). I've got a footy match (watching/beering) on that day and then I'm off to sunny Oxfordshire for 8-days (intensive training) after that.

Thats a little WEIRD. I remember when the first liva action Batman movie came out, it must have been about the same time of year because I went to see it for my 12th birthday, I remeber this because it was also the first cert 12 film.

They'll be showing it on Imax! Does this interest anyone else? I've never seen anything on imax before, is it worth it? I think batman might be a good place to start.

I've only ever seen those films designed for IMAX cinemas at Disney and such places, where you stand and fly over the Grand Canyon or whatever for about 4 mins. I would not recommend it for anyone who suffers from motion sickness, but can imagine Gotham City looking effing awesome on that scale...could be a plan!

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight
Not to bothered about the IMAX but if that is where the majority want to go I will be there. I think I got confused with the opening dates. I must have been reading too many US based RSS feeds. Doh! 25th is the release date in the UK must remember that.
That does mean that WALL-E is going to be out first. Do we have any takers?

I'd be up for Batman (iMax or not) and WALL-E. I think I need to ease up on the pick 'n' mix next time though.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight
apparently batman was the first live action film shot with 6 imax cameras.. whatever that means.
I just wanna see it, not bothered about imax or regular. Wall-e is getting good reviews, but I'm not 100% sure I fancy it.
