I deffo want to see both. How is everyone fixed for Wednesday? We could see Wall-E at didsbury then wait a couple of weka (edit: to translate to 'weeks') to see batman. Letting the hype die down slightly!

Wednesday may be difficult for me...took two hours off this morning to pick up the keys to the flat (landlord only gets into the office at 10am... ), so I've got to do an 8am-6pm shift tomorrow and then could do with sorting a few bits out around the flat. In fact, this week is pretty much out for me!

I'm more or less free this week, but only Monday next week unfortunately. By the time I'm back from Wales Batman will have died down hopefully.

Did you hear the report that Christian Bale has been reported for assaulting his mother and sister?! Weird.

batman too violent for children! apparently there have been LOTS of complaints about Batman being a 12A and parents not expecting it to be as violent as it is! (Although how they can have remained oblivious with all the hype is beyond me!)
GOD I WANNA SEE THIS FILM!

I generally think the 12A rating is a farce, Bond, Bourne, Batman, IronMan, LoTR all got it and should probably have been a 15. I don't think violence should be the only factor in a film getting a high rating, the atmosphere of the film should be considered too.
I can't remember what it was that Bex and I saw in the cinema (I suspect it was Bond) and there was a young (6-8yr old) child behind us which started crying (during the torture scene) and said "Mummy I don't like it. I wanna go home" the response was "but you WANTED to see this film!"
It all comes down to parenting again!

That is not too much of a surprise. I want to see this film too. The plan was to see it at the IMAX on Tuesday next week. Lizzie and I are up for it but we will probably need to book tickets in advance. I can do this but I need to know numbers!

So far I think it is
Mike
Lizzie
Al

Any other takers?

John S-L

Tuesday 12 August is the Plan. Can you let me know for sure if John S-L is interested, don't want to buy a ticket if he is busy! :-D Better go and text Al to make sure he is back that day.

The IMAX is in the odeon. Will confirm prices asap! They are slightly more expensive than normal (i presume).

Sorry Fez, the problem with skim reading was not taking it all in! You are more than welcome!

Do you remember where the The Printworks is in Manchester? The Odeon is in there. The site should have a map!

Its £8.50 each, there are 1800 (too early! I assume, I could EASILY be there  ) or 2100 showings (which with a 152min running time means midnight finish... meh).
