Sims 3 is due to be released in 2009. I bet lizzie will be really excited. Apparently the biggest change is the 'seamless' universe where everything you do actually effects other parts of the Sim Universe.
Ooooh the excitement and potential god complexes in the making!

I think that this will be released next Friday! 5 June 2009 it will hit shops and can be currently demoed at the Apple Store at the moment. I wonder if someone will be nice and order this for Lizzie. It is a safe bet that she will never come to this part of the forum so we can discuss the possibility to our hearts content!
The Sims 3
I think that my mum and neice need to catch up with this one. They are currently playing the original.

Lizzie got this game on Friday (day of launch) and was (is) very excited. I think she has had a lovely weekend playing the game whilst Daddy and Millie played with baby toys! Millie was showing me how to bash a dangly giraffe whilst lying on the floor - it is strangely adictive!
I must admit that I played a bit of the game too. Because of how the Store works I may have to transfer my saved game over to Lizzie's profile though as the add-on's will only install for her. I will post a review in the Review Section.

This is a seriously addictive game. You have got to love the in game contridictions; such as the able to kiss married couple but not woohoo with them and being a police officer who can be a partner at the Crime Syndicate.

Sue is now well up and running with this and the new laptop is performing well. I found the screen settings and reset it to 1368 x 768 so now she is widescreen. For some inexplicable reason the auto setup set it to 800 x 600 which is no good at all.
The graphics are exceptionally good, and so they should be with a 1GB graphics card!

In one way yes, but I'm always happy to find something good for your Mum to enjoy. The laptop is her Christmas present, a little early, but why not!

I am getting obsessed with this again. Now that I have a sim family it is harder to control. Especially if you have 1 sim in the park and the other two at home. The first time I left the two at home he broke his sterio and then burned to death trying to fix it. Not good. Death was kind enough to leave him alone this time but it was a close call.

The Guardian review of The Sims 3: Ambitions. It is a good expansion pack by all accounts but it only gets a

rating. Aparently the Sims 3 has been less world dominating when compared with previous verions, still it is entertaining enough and I think that Lizzie has this game on pre-order.
I bet she won't read this review though! The games section is very much avoided by my better half.

Sue loves Sims 3, but the game itself is full of bugs, with a seemingly endless array of patches to cover them.
I think not the best example of game programming.

EA - the bug is in the game. . . .
