The Prisoner

Post by Mike »

ITV are going to remake the 1960's cult classic, The prisoner. Oh dear. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

Ian McKellen and Jim Caviezel are going to star in the remake and it will be filmed in Swakopmund, Namibia. I get the feeling that this is going to be BAD. And the worst part of it? I will probably watch it when it airs in 2009.

The Prisoner Remake site from the fans.

I too will definitely watch it, with an open mind, but the potential for a disaster is immense.

We will see.

are they going to keep the original ending, which if memory serves correct, was like a terrible acid trip that made less sense than a german soup opera dubbed into latin?

I hope not. It don't think it should be a remake in the strictest sense but capture the spirit of the original. This is really hard and therefore should be treated with caution. They need to get the same feeling of railing against an invisible, cryptic bureaucracy.

Remember. I am NOT a Number. Unless you talk to the Government, then my NI is . . . . . . ;-)
