Jersey Boys

Post by johnriley1uk »

After the purchase of the books from New Jersey, what a slick link into the new Broadway show that follows the early story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, my favourite group.

The Original Cast CD of Jersey Boys is now out in the USA (I have it on order of course) and I've heard snippets on the website for the show. Produced by original Four Season Bob gaudio, the cast imitates The Four Seasons and although it's pretty well impossible to reproduce anything like the sound of Frankie Valli, with his distinctive and piercing falsetto, they do a damn good job of it.

I'm going to hazard a guess that if you guys are not aware of who The Four Seasons are, within the next couple on months you may well become so. It has all the trappings of a major success, so you heard about it here first!

Frankie Valli must be gaining immense popularity at the moment.

I have heard multiple mixes using his songs recently and many of them in clubs and bars. I have now found one that you can listen to on iTunes. It is called Beggin' by Madcon, it does not feature Frankie but it does have the lyrics from the song and is sung in what can only be described as an fashion that imitates the singer. Well in tempo and beat anyway, I make no claims on the quality.

Check it out! :-D
