We won! 27-13 vs Tigers is an amazing result. The last seconds try was brilliant, a bit of football to the line and then TRY! Amazing atmosphere, really enjoyed the match.

It was getting a bit tense towards the end there, what with Leicester managing to keep the game alive beyond the 80 minutes and putting pressure on in Sale's own half. No bonus point for them thanks to a great (negative seconds?) try. Woot!

Good match...they kept hanging on till the last few seconds and still managed to find the strength to break the Tigers' ranks and get the Try... :-)

There were a lot of interceptions by Sale that resulted in try scoring and pressure. I was surprised by that but very pleased. Hopefully all the training is coming together for Saint-Andre. Sale did seem to be under lots of pressure due to their poor kicking game. We need to get more physical and fast in each phase.

Forgot to mention that I have created a Graffito wall for Edgeley Park - any one with an iPhone or ITouch will be able to post on it!

England have been drawn against Scotland, Argentina, the Top European Qualifier and the winner of a playoff.

We are also now ranked 6th in the world following a poor performance in the Autumn Internationals. Bummer.

 St Andre to leave Sale! End of the season sees him back off to France...

It's nice that they're able to promote Kingsley Jones up (like the article says, it means there's at least some continuity), but I don't know enough about him to comment any further.

I wonder if the Chabal and St Andre leaving at the end of the same season is a coincidence or it was planned. Well the wind of change is at Edgely Park!

Sale 14 - London Irish 8. Good game for Cueto in front of the England Manager who was watching from the stands. As of last night Sale were fourth in the table with 34 and London Irish were top with 39 points. I don't think that the Beeb have updated their tables yet though. On second thoughts I think they have.

It is interesting to see that Sale have defended very well this season with 144 points scored against them. This is the lowest in the Premiership and 32 lower than London Irish who have 176 scored against them. Unfortunately we have only recorded 2 bonus points in 11 games and scored 184 points which is quite low. It looks like our finishing needs to be improved as we are about fourth from the bottom in terms of points scored!

Good result but as you say, we need to start getting tries.

With this being the last season for Saint-Andre, Chabal and now White I'd expect a concerted push for trophies to kick in round about now!

A day late but here is the BBC article about the Six Nations Squad. Will hope to watch some of the matches but may have to eliminate the drinking as February is getting quite close to D-Day. :-D

There are some perks to being a teacher...Kev at work's got free tickets for England Saxons at Edgeley Park tomorrow night. We have to take some kids with us but nevermind! The rain'll get on my nerves more than they will! And 1st 6 nations is in a week - woo hoo!

That just means you will get some quality atmosphere, get the kids yelling and wear your colours! It sounds cool, I am very jealous. Where are we going to all watch the Six Nations?! Are we all going to do the round visiting at peoples houses? Might be cheaper than going to the pub which was quite steep as I recall in November. Of course I won't be drinking as we get closer to B-Day but might be able to get away with it at the start . . . .
