New Skull Camera!

Post by Mike »

Make have this article about a pin camera that is built using titanium, brass, silver, gem stones and a 150 year old skull of a 13 year old girl. Freaky.

And they also have a sample image!

Is it just me or is that a bit odd!
Glad to see the photo was appropriately gothic, the effect would have been somewhat lessened had it been a pinsharp full colour picture of a fluffy kitten!
I'd love to see the paparazzi using them, how freaked out would the celebrities be! Tho to be fair Richard O'brien might just think it was a mirror!

Another vote for the "That's freaking weird" category from me.

What sort of person thinks "I know what the world is missing...", and comes up with that?

Well it looks pretty darned interesting if you ask me. The camera itself is rather beautiful in a haunting way. I like the way that the technology is wrapped around the 'rough' skull!

The site of the artist, Wayne Martin Belger, has some other unique cameras there. Worth a look.

There is a bit of a debate in various comments sections on the ethics of using a 150 year old skull where consent of the deceased would have been impossible. I think the treatment of it has been fairly respectful, as at the end of the day something beautiful has been created from it.
