For some obscure reason Outlook Express suddenly became unable to send e-mails, they were all being rejected by the server. Receiving was no problem.
The cure was to download Thunderbird, which I already use at home, and I just thought I'd give it an honourable mention. It downloads fast, loads all the e-mail settings automatically and imports the address book as well. Done and dusted and working within five minutes total.
It's very similar to OE in many ways, but it works and that has to be a bonus!

Re: Mozilla Thunderbird
I wonder if it is because you are using an old version of Outlook that is eventually becoming unsupported by Email central servers around the world! Who knows, it is annoying when you get issues like this.

Re: Mozilla Thunderbird
I've had a very similar issue with the full version of Outlook on my laptop...only wish I could remember how I resolved it!
