You have been a thief quite a few times and also a cleric for a small amount of time, so maybe time for a change.

Fighters are good at getting lots of dice rolling but tend to run out of things to do once you get trapped somewhere.

How about a Ranger type? You could go for a Legolas type character.

Sorry, did Mike say legless?

Actually a good idea though. A party with a few Rangers would be Quite Interesting.

Okay sounds good. I fancy calling her Alethea Dragonstone. I fancy having a change from half-elvin - maybe human? I'll roll her up, I'd like to say tonight but it maybe in the car on route whilst eating fish n chips (I have a late meeting on Wednesday).

Last night was fun. The brave retreating from a scary looking room has not been done for a while. I wonder if we could have battered the massive spider. . . .

I hope that the stunt pulled against the Town Watch will start to be blown out of all proportion, monsters in the dark are always bigger than they appear in daylight. Ie. The watch saying, he was HUGE, i mean, Massive, like a giant; with a ghostly white face who hovered over the floor towards us and spoke with a voice that came from beyond the grave! Oh and he had about four arms, each with a long sword, we couldn't possibly take him on. . . .

That way I can always mock the watch if they come to arrest me after all I am a budding entertainer, not a monster in the night. It would be a shame to have to shelve the outfit so soon into the adventure.

Just for everyone who was not there last night. The stunt was to rescue the rest of the party who had been 'arrested'. About three of us were hiding behind a grate in the dark. As two of the guard came to the face of the grate to investigate I stepped forwards in my black outfit with a white mask and let their lights hit me. They went straight to brown alert and fled. The other four waited to see what was going on but when the grate raised and I flowed into the light with the black cloak dramatically floating out behind me, two more fled. The other two held their nerve for a couple of seconds whilst I walked towards them before one fell and the other legged it. The one of the floor was told to 'Leave this place!' (best dark knight voice - very poor really) and I turned my back on him as he finally figured out he was alone and fled.

Oh and I really like the dankness of a proper old Skool dungeon.

Another good DnD session last night. I want to know what the coffin is (when you lie in the coffin you stop breathing and go cold). It is obviously something to help you rest! It would also be good to see the a Vampire!

Does anyone else suddenly think that putting the guards to sleep in last nights adventure would have been better than killing them with burning torches and also accidentally buring down the guard house to escape our unfair imprisonment?!

Lets rap up the possible charges for the next DnD court visit:
1) Murder (we are at least innocent of that one!)
2) Assaulting the Town Guard. . . . with a burning torch to the face :-?
3) Arson against crown property.

Oh dear.

Something tells me that our characters' future careers do not involve that particular town...

I don't know it could be fun to re-visit it once the problems have died down. Lets be honest its a big place - what are the chances of walking into town the day scar-face is on the gate?! ;-)

I had visions of Al Pacino standing there with an M16 until I realised what you meant. Your character's way too distinctive I think, unless the mask is ditched and a few inches in height are somehow lost. Or nefarious magicks are used.

A hat of disguise would be good. The mask is not being worn at the moment - way too risky but I guess it will come out of retirement sometime soon for one dishonest purpose or another! The problem is everyone will have been identified by description / sketch in the trial so the mask is sort of irrelevant. Lets be honest - you are in the boiling water with me on this one!

V managed to bag a Ring of Human Influence yesterday raising his Charisma to god like proportions of 25! Bit harsh probably as I think John managed to find the item. . . .

I think this means he will have a 100% Loyalty Rate, 70% Reaction Adjustment and will be able to overawe creatures of 12HD or less (ie make them think he is great or be in dire fear of him!). Wicked.

What can I say, I thought the gold was a bit too flashy for my character. I guess a high charisma would've been useful if I ever wanted to start my own cult/church or something, but that's a long way off yet...

Or as V delicately put it. I will never sleep alone again. I shall become the Hugh Heffner of the AD&D world.
