Demons is a new Buffy like TV Drama on ITV. It is quite cheesy but by comparrison to the last Drama I reviewed (Merlin) it is much better. The premis is that the last of the Van Helsing (Luke) is brought into fight Half-Lives by his Godfather Rupert Gavin (played by Philip Glensister from Life on Mars). They are helped by Mina Harker, a blind psychic, and Ruby, Lukes best friend who is hoping for more of a love interest (good luck with that one as Luke is oblivious)!

It is moderately endeering but no where near as good and cheesy as Buffy.

I particularly like the strange appeal of a blind, psychic, half-vampire pianist . . . . .

I'm quite enjoying Demons so far, although it is not as slick as Buffy. Philip Glenister is a brilliant actor - although the American accent is somewhat superfluous - and it helps that the guy who plays Luke is a definite h.o.t. And before you say anything...he's at least 18. I'm just getting into Life on Mars as Virgin 1is showing it from the beginning. i love Gene Hunt - he's such a bastard! and his command of the English language is a thing to behold. i watched Ashes to ashes and thought it was great so i'm glad to catch up on LOM.

Definitely a disappointing end to the season. Will see if it comes back for a second run. The Mina turning proper vampire at the end was quite a poor cliff hanger.
