Modern Day Pirates in the Dock
Pirate Bay founders and owners have been put in the dock in Sweeden by Sony and Time Warner accused of copyright infringement. These are the most high profile file sharer's I have ever known so the outcome will be interesting.

Re: Modern Day Pirates in the Dock
Legal charges are 'simplified' as half of the charges against the protagonists are dropped. Interesting different spin on the news.
The pirates say it was because the legal system 'misunderstood the technology'.
The music industry claims it was 'no fundamental change to their case' and 'simplifying the charges'.
Interesting.

Re: Modern Day Pirates in the Dock
I love the fact they've asked for a lesser crime to be considered, hoping their chances of gaining a conviction increase, but not reduced the damages they're asking for. It's fair to say that a lot of internet users will be watching for the results of this trial very carefully. If this was a US trial they might've plea-bargained by now, but this is Sweden (land of common sense?) so we'll see how things go.

Land of common sense and also the land where they like to be independent! I will be watching for interest - it is a modern day pirate in the very real sense. Only we can't just execute them now. . .

Oh dear.
Their supporters hack the IFPI website. Pirate Bay defenders say - 'Stop, you are making us look bad!'
