Jenna Hunterson is a dissatisfied waitress at Joe's Diner. She has an amazing talent for baking pies that reflect her problems. . . for example see the end. They contain spoilers because they follow events in Jenna's life. She gets evermore intolerant of her controlling husband and tries to save sufficient money to go to a pie baking competition, win and then leave him. This plan is complicated when he gets her drunk and she becomes pregnant as a result; then she complicates it even more by falling for her new doctor.
