for lizzie

Post by hazel »

I thought this was a lovely poem I found online puts things in perspective show lizzie mike when she is feeling she cant get enough done in her day :-D

I hope my children will look back on today
And see a mother who had time to play.
There will be years for cleaning and cooking
But children grow up while we're not looking.
Dusting and scrubbing can wait 'till tomorrow
For babies grow fast we learn to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

That's lovely- I shall print it off as a reminder next time the guilt at lack of housework sets in !!

You could stick it on the fridge and next time it needs cleaning you wont feel half as bothered :P

there's wisdom in those words. our house is a permenantly a hectic tip (scrubs up well if absolutely required) but at least its a happy tip.

Don't feel guilty about the lack of housework. I don't :-)

Just wait til you go back to work and still have all the housework (with Mike helping hopefully!) to do on top of looking after Millie...by then you probably won't care!!! :-D
