21 Minutes Late - Powerfailure at Manchester Piccadilly

Post by Mike »

Yes that is my excuse for being late into work this morning. I hope this does not start a Reggie Perrin trend.

I hope I don't look quite so pained though (or end up naked on a cold beach wondering if I should walk into the sea or run away!). :-D

I'm assuming that Lizzie qualifies for Jasmine Strauss so the marriage should stay intact.

1 hour 27 minutes late. Thieves stole overhead wires on Manchesters railways. Nice.

Damn, those are some organised theives. Or at least ones who can read train timetables.

That also explains why the 192 coming back from Stockport at just after 6pm was absolutely rammed and took ages as well.

That would be the reason! I hope they have fixed the lines now as we are just about to go and see the rugby.

10 Railway Stations in England and Wales are due to get a facelift and modernisation after being neglected for several years.

Manchester Victoria
Stockport
Warrington Bank Quay
Wigan North Western
Preston and
Liverpool Central

These NW stations make up 6 of those 10. How embarrasing. On another note Scottish stations have avoided the need for rapid modernisation due to more efficient funding over several decades. It just goes to show little and often in maintenance and improvements is always the way to go.
