The new season will start on 4 September with a match between Sale and Leicester at Edgeley Park. Go Sale!

At the start of the season Quinns Boss Dean Richards has been banned from participating in domenstic and international Rugby Union after his part in the 'fake blood' substitution in the Heineken Cup final.

Argentina are set to join the Tri-Nations competition (assuming they can present a sufficiently powerful financial package to the governing body). This is great news for the team as they are now ranked sixth in the world and need to be upping their presence on the international field. Not only that but Argentina are one of my favourite underdogs so go Pumas!

Saracens lead the Guiness Premiership with 12 points at the moment. Sale are just in the top half of the table in 6th. Early doors yet but I hope we get closer to the top asap!

Friday's match against Bath was completely pants, I have NO doubt that Coach Kingsley will be seriously kicking some player-butt before their next match

must try harder...and scoring a try would be a start!!

Autumn internationals start on Saturday 7 November 2009 with England Vs Australia and Wales Vs New Zealand. I nearly missed this one, thank BBC sport and your poor news feeds. Anyway the England match is on Sky Sports 2. Is anyone going to watch it?

I would like to go and see the game, but I don't know if I will be able to. I suppose we could find a family type pub to watch the game. . . . what do you think Lizzie?

What is happening with the Wales game? Sky don't seem to be listing this on their schedule. It is on BBC radio but that appears to be it.

IF I'm back from picking up a parcel(s) from Warrington in time, then I'd be up for a viewing. I'm watching Biffy Clyro at the Apollo later on, so nearer to Manchester would suit me. Doesn't have to be city centre though.

Can't think of any 'family-type' pubs that have screens, but I'll rack my brains for a suitable venue...

Wales-NZ match will be broadcast live on S4C (terrestrial Welsh Channel 4) but I have no clue how people outside Wales are supposed to get it, can you get S4C on SKY? :-(

I'm sure my folks have got S4C on their Sky Digital box...can't say for certain though. Most pubs will show it anyway (Walkabout?). Besides...you're an England supporter, get your white top on and forget about those dragons! ;-)

I wonder if there is a Wales Channel 4 you can watch online?!

Walkabout - child friendly?! Are you mad? I was thinking something more Didsbury oriented. O'Neils - Four in Hand? Chrissie do you have any idea if they are showing the game?

Biffy Clyro is good, that should be a good bit of live music. :-D

No, I wasjust offering Christine a Welsh-friendly venue suggestion! Heck Walkabout isn't even human-friendly most of the time!

Yeah, looking forward to it. Would've posted an invite on the forum, but it was literally..."Tickets...still available? Must buy NOW!". :-D

O'Neils should be showing the rubgy, not sure about the Four In Hand. Last time I was in (during last football season), they only had two tvs, one in a little room off the side that got full very quick and one in the main bar area. Not ideal as there is naff all seating unless you're there dead early!

18-9 to Australia on the first day of the Autumn internationals. It's the second time in two weeks I have seen England loose. Bummer. On the plus side Union is better than League and the game was pretty entertaining.

Strong return from Mr Wilkinson. Good plays and good ambition it was a shame that Australia had a bit more power and fitness! A good defence helped too.

Jonny played a full 80mins and left the pitch relatively unscathed (minus the bloody lip)...good day at the office!

Definately room for improvement from the side but there is a grasp of basic principles, just need to gel as a team and I can see potential! :-D

Rugby Live in 3D. Shown in cinemas in the UK, is anyone interested in going to see a match? They are happening at the Trafford Centre and Parrs Wood cinema. 6th Feb and 27th Feb for England Wales and England Ireland respectively.
