The problem was England did play more exciting rugby. They were just not rewarded for their efforts. It can't be helped but I hope we don't go back to kicking rugby next match.

I thought it was funny that all the pundits complained about the running rugby and said there should have been more kicking! You just can't please some people.

Russia makes first Rugby World Cup. Interesting because I did not know they had a team!

Brian Kennedy returns from USA skiing trip to attempt to resuscitate ailing Sharks. We are now 2nd from bottom of the table and need an injection of winning spirit quickly. Not a good year for Jason Robinson as Head Coach.

Hmm, Russia. Should be interesting, and good on 'em for qualifying!

Had lost track of the tables so didn't realise how dire the situation at Sale was... just read that article, and a 46-3 loss to Gloucester. The mind boggles. Will have to see about getting back to the stands to lend them a bit of verbal support!

At the Leeds match home fixture the team actually got booed off at half time and at full time when the announcer said, "and here is your team...Sale Sharks!" it was met with a deafening silence...BAD TIMES, fans don't want to sit for 80 mins in sub-zero temperatures to watch their team kick AND throw the ball into the opposition's hands!!! Sort it out lads! :-(

Sale are at the bottom of the Guiness Premiership. Eek. I knew something was up when Sale reached the BBC headline in the sport section. They usually ignore us.

Go Sale, I don't want you to get relogated.

Anyone free this weekend to watch the rugby? Lizzie is in London so I have to look after the Millie monster (this keeps me at the house I am afraid!).

Sorry mate, it's Mothers Day weekend which means I'm Cannock bound. Let's hope my Mum doesn't mind me hogging the tv on a Saturday night!

Would love to, but it's my Dad's birthday followed immediately by Mother's Day! I'll be in Cumbria, especially as my sister can't make it (looong journey from down south, even with direct trains).

Looking at the tables, it's still close at the top - England could end up down in third or up in first depending on the results.

No worries old beans. I have a couple of people confirmed so I won't be lonely. I hope that you have a good time in Cannock and Cumbria.

Scotland were very much improved in their performance against England. It was good they only held us to a draw but we now need to get scoring try's. Without try's we are never going to regain the glory!

Do we have any players on the pitch with the ideas to create the opportunities to score tries? For example, Cueto was completely out of the game by having no real clear opportunities.

Looking at the French performance on Sunday afternoon, England could be in trouble next Saturday!

I resisted the urge to claw my own eyes out part-way through the England game, then after about 60 minutes resigned myself to the fact that a draw was going to be the only fair score. Foden looked good when he came on, as did Cueto when he actually got any reasonable chances to run, of which I counted three or four in the whole game.

Am kind of glad I didn't watch the France game, it means I can see the next match blissfully unaware of what lies in wait for England.

France 12 - England 10. Not a very bad match, England played better than the whole competition, however, we still lost. Work to do but promising. Tense match.

The other games were good, it was a shame that Italy lost by such a large margin. I was glad that Scotland won their match too.

England Women win the Six Nations grand slam. Well done!
