True Blood is a tale about Vampires co-existing with Humans following the development of an artificial blood (called True Blood) that means the Vampires no longer require us as food (although it appears we are more fun!). The tale follows two main characters, Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Crompton (human and vampire respectively), in the fictional town of Bon Temps, a deep south kind-a place.

I really like this series, the story is interesting, the acting is good and the opening credits are very entertaining too. As a complete package it is really entertaining. To give you a flavour of the hype surrounding the series the first episode had higher ratings than the final episode of the Sopranos and has been dubbed the biggest things since Sex in the City.

5S rating for me and we are only about 6 episodes into the 12 episode first season. The Second season was shown in June 2009 in the US of A with Season Three being filmed towards Christmas time - Cool!

True Blood is back in February 2010 on FX UK. Quality. The preview looks amazing.

Have seen a couple of episodes, but I don't think that warrants a rating from me yet! They seemed good enough, but I'm not sure if I'm suffering from vampire-fiction-fatigue at the moment though. That's even without reading the Twilight novels.

Series 1 is on Lovefilm so looks like I'll add this to the list and see what all the fuss is about.
