Cocktail Reviews

Post by Mike »

The Freddie Fudpucker
70ml Tequila (double shot)
140ml Orange Juice (2 double shots)
Stir
Float 5ml Galliano (I did not have this so I had Tequila Orange)

4s. Nice flavours. Not too alcoholic. Not for people who dislike Tequila (3 out of 4 as it happens).

The Fuzzy Navel
35ml Vodka (shot)
35ml Peach Schnapps (shot)
105ml Orange Juice (3 shots)

5s rating from the gals. I did not try this one.

The Harvey Wallbanger
70ml Vodka (double shot)
105ml Orange Juice (3 shots)
Stir
Float 5ml Galliamo (again did not have any of this!)

4s rating from the gals. Quite flavoursome - personally I don't like Vodka so it was a bit bleah!

Madras
70ml Vodka (double shot)
45ml Cranberry Juice (shot and a dash)
45ml Orange Juice (shot and a dash)

Like sex on the beach but without the schnapps. Seemed to go down well. 4s.

Sex on the Beach
45ml Vodka (shot and a dash)
15ml Peach Schnapps (dash)
45ml Cranberry Juice (shot and a dash)
45ml Orange Juice (shot and a dash)

Classic recipe and instant success. Can't help but rate 5s.

The Boston Cream Martini
75ml Vodka
15ml Baileys Irish Cream
1 dash of Vanilla extract
Shake with Ice
Strain into a frozen cocktail glass.

Disaster. This was a rocket fuel drink with a very poor reaction (from everyone but Tony - weird). 2s.

It was the material that did it for me, so silky smooth against my pasty white skin! :-?

That Boston Cream Martini sounds... indescribable. The Marmite of cocktails? It makes me reconsider my usual rating system, which broadly consists of every cocktail scoring full marks.

My Mum's 'hen do' involved her work mates taking her to the pub one lunchtime and feeding her harvey wallbangers. She didn't do any work that afternoon, as, in her words, the letters kept moving around. Hahahahaha.

Quality. I don't think we could really get away with returning to wrk drunk. Probably because BDP is so big the directors would not know it was a special occassion! :-D
