Note to all iPhone users who are out of contract, my phone bill has dropped by £15 a month now that I am no longer paying for the phone. Not only that but my free texts have increased from 600 to 1200. That saving can go into a money box each month to pay for the expected new model in June / July.

Worth knowing. My contract is up in May/june and I was wondering what I should do when the renewal comes around. If, as you say, I get a better deal then I'm happy to leave things as they are- My iphone has never been out of its case for more than 5mins, so is in virtually perfect condition. No need for a new handset.

Just gotta sort out Bambi's mobile contract now... hers ran out 4months ago and she STILL hasn't found a new O2 handset she wants- and doesn't want an iphone (she likes her 32gig itouch).

If she doesn't mind keeping her phone for a bit longer just call them up and see if there is a more competitive tariff. The new iPhone tarrif I am on just keeps ticking over until I want to re-sign!

You are in a good bit of timing for yours Phil - a new model is expected around that time.
