BDP has lost the top spot in terms of numbers of Architects with Aktins taking first place (347 and 381 respectively).

BDP is still the top in terms of turn over though with £63million compared with Atkins £33million. That is amazing it means each person in BDP is earning the company £182k a year and in Atkins only £87k per year (which is a normal accepted industry standard). It goes to show that BDP is actually making good use of its resources.

Wonder what the figures would say if the survey was repeated today (the figures were originally compiled in January).

Pozzoni is 78th in the list and their Fee earnings are Confidential (which is a shame).

We could guess that their fee income is 32 x 75k (ie number of Architects by fee earned per Architect) for the lower region and 32 x £150K for the higher so it should be in the region of £2.5-5million. That is based on the companies either side of Pozzoni on the list. :-D

The AJ Top 100 practices. BDP returns to the top of the tree in terms of number of Architects employed (approximately 300 or 1% of all Architects). With Atkins in number 2 - although they are a much bigger Multi-discipline practice).

Pozzoni have managed to keep in the Top 100 and come in at number 87.

The figures for Atkins seem a little surprising (uk fee income to umber of staff), and vice versa for Aedas. And man, Aedas is huge when you factor in the overseas staff!

Their £51k per member of staff is really low. It is hard to understand how they make any money with figures like that.
