Campaign and adventure idea

Visiting Mallorca and Palma in particular I feel inspired to try and create a new campaign setting with some adventures too. If I manage to write enough maybe we can play it for a bit when our current adventure hits a lull.

The idea is to start the adventure in the capital city of a Mallorca type Mediterranean island. The capital and island has seen better times, the King is weak and uninspired and his sphere of influence has reduced the kingdom to the city environment and a couple of miles from the city walls. Corruption and thievery is rife within the City and the remainig inhabitants eak out a simple living on the verge of starvation and poverty.

There are several other factions who have filled the void of power on the island and make the human settlements under constant threat of extinction. Humans, Green skins, Black skins and pirates are all active. Mercenaries are constantly moving between factions always chasing the highest bidders.

The idea would be for a relatively low level start with characters starting as individuals staying in the Capitol for what-ever reasons you decide.

What do you all think? Worth pursuing?

Not sure about the rendering for the river and the sea. It is sort of authentic but I don't think that I have mastered the style correctly. I think that the map needs to be larger and the blue lines finer.

It's a fine start, but adventures need to be more specific on the detail, so lots of writing to do yet!
