Netvibes allows you to gather all your RSS feeds and snippets of websites on a single web page. It looks really cool and very nice way to organise a homepage.

WW1 Blog is like a bullet through time. Someone is publishing the letters of their distant relatives on a blog as they were sent. Quite an interesting insight into the war and very fascinating.

HEL LOOKS is a photographic document of what some of the more adventurous people in Helsinki wear. Search around, there's some crazy stuff there... it can't really be described, it must be seen.

OK. As promised last night... you're bored at work with access to a computer and high speed broadband-

http://watchscrubsonline.tv/
the entire run of 7seasons of scrubs free, streaming to your desktop. (With some of the WORST popups I've ever seen. Just click No then OK when asked and it'll still work fine).

http://www.cucirca.com/2007/05/27/watch-heroes-online/
every episode of heroes, again, free and streaming.
Both sites run best on firefox. With a bit of ingenuity you CAN download 'em

Garfield minus Garfield is a very entertaining if surreal take on the classic Garfield comics. :-D

Here is the authors tag line
Garfield minus Garfield wrote:Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.

http://www.liveplasma.com/
type in a band/artist/movie you like and this site will produce graphical displays of similar bands/movies. (Its not perfect, but just MIGHT expand your horizons). I was fairly impressed, the length of the links represents the similarity between the bands.

The LivePlasma site uses the same info from Amazon as this site 'Musicovery'. It allows you to pick the genre, mood, pace, etc of the music you want to listen to right now and streams the results to you. Quality is not perfect (low-resolution recordings) but a nice idea.

It sounds like Pandora but not restricted to the US of A. Pandora used to allow you to register if you put in a USA zip code. . . they now block non us servers. . . bummer.

lol - just discovered that people who are already registered can actually still log in and listen to music, great! :-D

Really? I got an email in Feb saying that all UK based IP addresses were going to be blocked due to ongoing and unresolved discussions over licensing. I'll try it at work tomorrow (can't remember my password on the laptop, it's saved at work!).

It automatically blocked me to start with but you just click on log in then put in passwords etc and in you go. Did not try to play any music though so that might be banned still.

The Secret History of Star Wars brings into question the George Lucas influence on the original films. There is a rumour that his 'series of 9 or 12 films' may not have been an original idea. What a surprise!

On another Star Wars related topic. John Williams was the composer who brought us the unforgettable Star Wars opening composition. Not only that but I discovered that he composed the Indiana Jones music and literally masses of other famous bits of film music, like Jaws. What a quality talent! :-D
