Metrocycles deserves a mention (after being posted by Mr Ogle) as it helps you recycle your old phones. In fact they will pay you for the phone. I don't think I will get very much for mine but what a quality idea. :-D

Probably more fun for me in north manchester as I can play spot my house but a cool picture non the less.

I assume this has been compiled using photos taken from the penthouse in the Hilton.

Roundabout's of Britain have sold 100,000 calenders worldwide since 2003. Now 100,000 people can not be wrong can they?

Not had one of these for a while but try Great War Artist is a book of World War 1 sketches from Len "Smithie" Smith in the Trenches. He managed to sketch his colleagues, war trenches, the enemy positions and even managed to get an image of a tree 6 metres from enemy lines, sketch it, produce an alternative in steel and paint and hide someone in it to observe the enemy movements! Amazing. I hope he did not manage to have a phone, it would have been embarrasing to have a ringing tree!

The HSE are striking back against negative publicity with their myth of the month section. I quite like some of the cartoons.

Create your own Bayeux-style stories or just funny pics with the Historic Tale Construction Kit. I quite like this, but not had a chance to properly play with it yet.

Texts From Last Night is a website that records peoples random text messages from the night before. Some of those are classics. A funny, funny website!

I just stumbled across a really cool music site.

http://www.songsterr.com/

It has whole band tabs for lots of cool songs... nothing unusual there... except that it will PLAY the individual tracks. So you can isolate one instrument and learn it. (Or fade it out and "join the band"). VERY impressed by it thus far.

I STILL can't play the bass runs in Maxwell Murder by Rancid, but I'm loving trying. (For as long as I have skin on my fingers! )
For those that are interested, the video is HERE the fun starts around the 1.00min mark. Thankfully I'm only learning the start of the solo...
