Dvice has some interesting technology posts there. Might be worth checking out if you have a moment. My favourite was the optical link between NYC and London.

Spyrestudios has some very interesting articles on its website. I particularly liked the one regarding the tutorial for playing with Photoshop channels. I may try that one some day!

T-Zero is a website that allows you to review your home and get approximate costs for installing eco-friendly equipment. The one obvious concern is the estimated £3500 to install solar hot water systems. I understand these require a new boiler, however, it is not clear if you are going to get that in the initial cost (I would hope that you do).

Another interesting one was that about £10k work of work could save me about £250 a year. That means that the payback time would be approximately 40 years. Not that impressive especially if you are thinking of moving. Obviously that does take that change that energy prices stay approximately constant. It appears that most sources are predicting an energy shortage by 2020.

I'm aiming to avert this problem by sitting on my backside for as long as is humanly possible. By 2020 I should have loads of energy and will happily charge an absolute fortune for you to buy some from me!

Who with what. A nice website that helps to identify nice products and who designed them. Well worth a bit of research.

arcisdesign has an interesting article about colourful websites. Not actually about architecture but still an interesting article to read, the use of colour is usually underused but these examples actually celebrate colour which is nice to see.
