Well, I was suitably intrigued... definitely an interesting opening gambit! I think Neil Gaiman's worked on film and TV scripts before so he's not too new to it all.

I just hope they won't have any major logic fails in this series.

The major logic fail that I see in the "new Doctor Who" since Chris Eccleston arrived is that there seems to be an indecision in the writing as to whether The Doctor is just flesh and blood who can regenerate but is just like any other creature in his vulnerability, or whether he is a representation of some greater force as represented by the huge amounts of energy that are released as he regenerates.

In the former case he is open to being shot, in the latter he's something else entirely and more in keeping with the idea that armies might flee in front of him.

It might be a good idea for the team to make up their minds.
