i don't think anyone's done a review of this yet but surely some of you have seen it. jack black is a wannabe rock star who takes on a teaching job to pay the rent and turns his posh class into a band of rockers. black is inspired, the kids really can play and the sound track covers ac/dc to the ramones so is naturally fantastic. the ending is kinda of predictable but that doesn't detract from laughs.

I have had School of Rock on DVD for some time now and it's a top piece of comedy. Better still I get to go and see JB his in other little band next week.

Ah, Tenacious D, happy days, I believe it was Mr Knight that first introduced me to their wondrous music, in a rather boring lecture if memory serves?! either that or the Chatham cafeteria.

I watched School of Rock on C4 for the second time last night and was againinspired by its brilliance.

A resounding

You have to look out for the D's review in the Live from Manchester forum next week.

I thought that the sound track was fabulous - some real quality tunes. In fact, possibly up there with Forrest Gump as one of my favourite sound tracks. Rowenna thought I was mental because every so often I would just ''rock/bop'' to the music whilst marking my books.

Anyway, as a film script it is fairly crap. But that doesn't matter. Some of the kids' lines really pissed me off. But that doesn't matter. The soundtrack matters. Jack Black was good as well. (Is it me or does he seem to be in a lot of things at the moment - King Kong, Tenacious D, etc - must be the ''token fat guy'' part)

My overall view is 2S for script, 5S+ for soundtrack giving it a resounding
der der duhhhh

(I wouldn't necessarily watch it again, but I'd listen to it again!)
