Mr Al is correct. Proper film with special effects. The transforming looks ace. I will be seeing it on the big screen and transforming in my sleep for weeks.

On a really cool side note, what transformer would you be? I think I would have to be an Autobot. . . . Alpha Trion rocked but is too old, wheeljack was also very cool. So many choices!

Please old skool characters only!

just watached the trailer you linked and another from yahoo, man this film looks awsome, cant wait til 747, it just made me wanna go lookin at all the old cartoon transformers i had as a kid. While i was lookin i did decide on an f-15 eagle or skywarp as his name was although the thought of being megatron and turning into a walther p38 does have it appeal.

having bought the entire set of comics on a disc off ebay for a fiver, and being on about number 40 at the last count, I have to say that Galvatron is a personal favourite.

I would probably have to plump for being Unicron for the simple reason that I was never produced in the 80s, clamoured for by fans, ridiculously overpriced when I was released in 2003, became the star attraction of the film and had Orson Welles to do my voice!

Micheal Bay?

Wasn't he the dude who did Pearl Harbour?

He is only written in my memory from the song lines "Why does Micheal Bay get to keep on making movies? Cos pearl harbour sucked a little bit more than I love you." in Team America.

I love the ideas of a proper Transformers film but i bet he makes it suck!

Lets hope that he manages to pull it off. I will look on imdb to see what he has made previously.

Trailer

just caught the trailer and it looks ace, if a little darker than the animated adventures although I suspect that was to be expected with a live action movie.

I used to borrow (?) my brother's transformers, sooo cool!

Oh, my. I've just watched the teaser trailer with more of the movie footage in it. A lot of the transformers look as evil as a big evil thing. It's going to take a lot of getting used to, as they've gone for a totally different visual style than most of us grew up with. Still looks cool, but I'm hoping it won't be special effect overload and no proper storyline.

I Think I got some proper stills of the robots on my work email from the 3d guys as they were in 3d world. Will check tommoz and if I'm right I'll post them.

I just Micheal Bay doesn't ruin it. He does have some cracking action flicks under his belt (The Rock and Bad Boys) but Pearl Harbour was terrible. Haven't seen 'The Island' Yet is it any good?
