Hello all

I was wondering if any of you were interested in or were actually using SKYPE at the moment. I have just registered and have it on my laptop. I had to use the laptop as it is the only computer I have with a microphone.

If anyone is using it at the moment PM me and I will add you to my contacts list. It could be good for a chat from time to time. This is especially since it is free!

Actually on another note. I have just downloaded MSN Live which is the MSN equivalent. All normal MSN users can upgrade to this package for free too. I will try to be online on MSN more in the evenings so that we can all chat more often.

Cool - Could you email me your alias? There are 51 John Knights on the finder thingie. . .

I use my normal pseudonym aka msn if you wanna find my skype contact. I will look into headsets if I use it a little bit. . .

skpe is your basic online phone, you can call all other people wih skype accounts for free and do pretty decent video calls if you have a webcam. We used it on a job with a partner firm in australia a couple of months back.

SKYPE has now moved into the idea of digital TV over the internet. That does sound really cool I personally think that this is the way forward.

The Sky digital and Blue ray will be so defunct soon as you have an online film database which is your collection. The collection will be backed up at the server periodically so you do not lose any information and will stream via Apple TV or similar to your mirror / tv in the front room. I don't think I will be first on board with this idea - I don't want to spend ?199 on an apple TV and the extortionate online dvd downloads. I will probably join up when there is a subscription based service where you can watch 'x' number of new dvd's per month and watch any previous titles to boot. :D
