Cool You-Tube Videos

Post by Mike »

I thought I would start another thread for the cool you-tube vids. This will help keep the cool websites thread clearer.

This silent film is a classic. Hope you enjoy.

Well, it's about time I dumped some of my links on this thread. One or two may be from Google Video, but they've bought YouTube out anyways. I'll categorise them for ease of reference:

Random:
Cephalopod vs. Dementia: dancing like robots. Looks amazing.
Big Brother 7 Pete in Diary Room Nightclub: the guy's great, what can I say? The full version got taken down.
Myspace The Movie: I'd recommend letting it load a bit and skip straight to the second scene at 01:04.
Crazy Korean Girls: some weird karaoke show. I find it funny.
PRIDE referee cam highlights: PRIDE is a mixed martial arts event. Absolutely phenomenal athletes, but please don't watch this if you dislike violence and a little blood.
Postman Pat The Drugdealer: overdubbed Postman Pat. Not work safe, little bit of swearing. Avoid if you don't want your childhood memories scarred (and it's not anywhere near as bad as some of the other ones).

Music:
The Futureheads - Hounds of Love: possibly the best cover ever, up there with Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower.
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love: and the original for comparison. This song means that I will be buying the album with it on. It rocks.
As I Lay Dying - Forever: Christian metalcore band. If you take the time to look up the lyrics they may be a pleasant surprise. Or not. Unfortunately the songs on the album get a bit repetitive very quickly.
Queen Live Aid 1985: long video, but worth it to see Freddie Mercury do his thing.
Lazytown's "You're A Pirate": already linked somewhere else, but worth linking again. Happy happy song!
24 Caprices: Paganini's caprices, played on classical guitar (they weren't written for guitar at all, which makes this pretty cool). One for any musicians out there.

That's taken me a while to do, but it should give you all a little insight into my viewing habits. Enjoy, and be prepared for a little waiting: some of those are big files.

Edit: spelling and formatting. Meh.

Citizen Hero
Rabbit fight broken up by Roosters - This is very cool and really weird!
Valantine's Day Do's and Don'ts very disturbing but quite funny too!

Scary Mary an interesting take on the classic Mary Poppins.
Jaws the summer love story

I read an article in the Metro today saying the makers of Chad Vader the You Tube sensation have given up their day jobs and are making a series for a broadcaster. . . . cool!

More funny than cool, but here ya go: Jimmy Kimmel on Unnecessary Censorship. A minor psychology lesson as well...

Edit: they get better - A guy goes shopping with a stocking on his head. Again, interesting psychology points raised.
