iPhone advert on YouTube showing the phone goodness which is to be released on June 29th to an american only audience I am afraid. We should be seeing them here in the real world by Christmas.

Meh, they can iron out any bugs before they arrive in the UK that way. Plus we get some idea about any durability issues that way as well.

Edit: good to see Apple have gone with such an informative advert. Worse than the Mac vs PC ones, possibly.

That is apparently the older advert. I have seen another one which is amazing. I will try to find it now.

EDIT: Here they are. Apparently the restaurant featured on one of the ads has had a supreme interest and increase in phone calls. These are really, really impressive!

I was just about to post the Calamari one I'd found. Frigging excellent. I don't see how anyone with fingers my size is going to use that keypad, though.

We will have to see how sensitive it is when the machine comes out. I don't know who it will be released with in the UK but I would imagine it would be Vodafone. . . If they get it on Orange I will get one.

Losing it would be a bit of a pain. On the other hand that is what insurance is for! :D

Looks like it's not just Apple who have been on touch screen technology for phones. Check out this BBC article and vid: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6722629.stm

I was comparing the ideas / leap in technology. I'd like to see what Nokia or Sony could do with it!

This was released in the US of A yesterday to massive queues. They only allowed each person to buy 2 handsets each, presumably to stop massess being sold on eBay.

They are quite expensive $599 plus a phone tarif of at least $59 a month. That equates to £300 and £30 respectively.
