Re: Apple iPhone
I saw a guy on the train this morning with a White iPhone! These appear to be relatively rare despite every man and his dog appearing to have one of these phones at the moment.

Re: Apple iPhone
The day johnriley1uk has been waiting for. Orange have announced that they will be able to sell the iPhone on their network 'later this year'. This will hopefully drive some competition into the market of tarrifs. The pundits do not believe that you will see much movement on the price of the unit due to the high subsdy cost to the operator. However, even if you see the cost reduce by £5 it will be of benifit and give me some more leaverage if I want to negotiate with O2 when the new iPhone is undoubtably released in June / July 2010.
dot.life have an interesting article about the news as well.

Re: Apple iPhone
Oh no. My iPhone has started playing silly devils. I am just getting a Searching message or No Service. What I am going to do?! Lizzie's phone is just fine. I will have to visit an O2 shop today and try and get it sorted out. If you need to contact me, you won't have much luck, suggest you call or text Lizzie.
Plugging into iTunes helped for a bit now not working again. Will try a full restore.

Re: Apple iPhone
We think it is an O2 problem with the local 3G reception tower. Lizzies phone was playing up like mine was. Chance of two identical errors on different handsets at the same time are remote. Also the phones were working when we went to the Trafford Centre so I am rather relieved. I should charge O2 for the inconvenience and the cost of the phone call!

Re: Apple iPhone
iPhone will be available on Orange from 11 November 2009. Woot, some competition at last!
EDIT - Don't know what was wrong with the URL but now it should be fixed.

Re: Apple iPhone
The Register has an article about the first iPhone worm that targets jailbroken iPhones. A stark warning to people who hack their handsets. Non hacked phones are okay.

Re: Apple iPhone
I hear that Vodafone are due to get the iphone too soon.
Maybe that'll create some competition for tariffs, but I doubt it- Bex is currently at the end of her contract on her mobile and everything seems to cost the same with all the networks (she's not after an iphone, but wants the same mins/txt deal she has now for slightly less).
My iphone contract has another 6months on it, thank goodness I don't need to think about it until May!

Re: Apple iPhone
My phone is up for renewal in January. I will probably hold on to it for another 6-7 months or so and see if they release version 4 in June / July.

Actual headline is Worm bites jailbroken iPhones. If you strip all Apple security from the phone what do you expect?!BarcelonAl wrote:Worms bites Apple. Thought Apple were virus-free...
