Re: Apple iPhone
ViP App at £280. You have to complete a net income certification to use the app to ensure you are a millionaire before it can be used. The actual purpose of the app seems to be unclear unless you consider it to be just a status symbol? More money than sense comes to mind.

Re: Apple iPhone
iPhone 3,1 rumours start already. The number 3,1 signifies a significant hardware change in the phone. The original iPhone was 1,1; 3G 1,2; 3GS 2,1 and now the 3,1. This is rather early. I know they generally do a Mac presentation in the new year but rumours 4 months before is a bit much.

Re: Apple iPhone
Cnet reports that 5 billion phone subscriptions are active for a population of 6.8 billion. It doesn't account for people with a personal phone and business phone but still an impressive number. It just goes to show that the phone companies won't be able to get much more business so will have to fight over what already exists!

Or make phones with even shorter lifespans whilst simultaneously trying to make phones do more cool stuff to entice us to buy new handsets. Call me a cynic, but...

Re: Apple iPhone
Apple's big iPhone to launch in the UK April 2010. 2 months earlier than previous estimates.
Orange and T-Mobile to merge I wonder if this will mean that the iPhone will come to the T-Mobile customers.

They can already buy an itouch.. which to judge by my own experience of t-mobile amounts to the same thing...Mike wrote:Orange and T-Mobile to merge I wonder if this will mean that the iPhone will come to the T-Mobile customers.
"Hello, I'd like to end my contract"
"Can we ask why?"
" Because I don't get a signal at home, work, in the gym or at my local."
"We can offer you money off your tariff!"
"Thats nice. Can you offer me a mobile signal that I can use to make calls? NO? Ok, I'm off to O2"
I realise that Orange apparently have VASTLY better signal strength and reliabilty.
Oh and I read somewhere that the ipad is gonna be £389
Lastly... The tories launch app. I'd pay good money NOT to have that on my phone.
HEY! HO! Lets go!

Re: Apple iPhone
We recharge every couple of days, which is not too bad, actually better than our last Nokia phones. We coyld probably get away with longer, but I'd hate to be iPhone-less in some distant place such as Wigan or Leigh. You have to be careful when you're at the limits of civilisation....
Re: Apple iPhone
It's true, most wiganers think the cd-rom rack is for a pork pie/McDonalds cup holder combo. Whilst most Leifers just stare at it whilst pressing the button and saying 'holder goes out....holder goes in.... holder goes out.... holder goes in....'''johnriley1uk wrote:I'd hate to be iPhone-less in some distant place such as Wigan or Leigh. There is an official number 10 app in the app store. Weird.
