Despite what the websites are saying review wise about Wii Sports I would say that Nintendo struck the nail on the head with this one. they have included a nice / fun multiplayer game with the Wii.

Lizzie and Chrissie seemed to really enjoy this one right from the box and Lizzie was even excited enough to suggest going to get a second controller asap. I think the tennis game rocks though I have to remember it is not real and I don't need enough force to knock out a large bloke to hit the ball back to my opponents.

All in all gaming.

Multiplayer tennis is the one game me and my brother couldn't play at Christmas, simply not enough room in his little bedroom.

I think you're right about the game, I keep coming back trying to beat my scores / improve my skillz (I'm down wi' the kids...word! ), even though I've got Zelda to keep me occupied. It's a nice, simple pack of games that let the player get to grips with using the controller.

I just wish they'd have dropped the baseball game...stupid American game...yawn!

I have not tried that one yet. I think I will have to experiment more thoroughly with Lizzie away on business. . . :D Any takers of a night of Wii'ing?

Should I be worried that I thought "golden showers" after reading that and then chuckled at disgust with myself? Dodgy fetishes aside, I am most intrigued by Mike's new Wii, and shall be round as soon as possible to test it and try to avoid innuendoes at the same time.

Lizzie has asked me to video Nip Tuck in her absence therefore no more Wii Sports for me tonight. I still think Tennis is the best, though hitting home runs is fun too. The putting seemed to be a little annoying but I will reserve judgment for a while yet.

Oh you will, then they'll give you two baseball games and a punishing boxing game and you'll be back down in the fifties again!

My best age was 25, but I'm currently 57!

The boxing game is brutal. I would not say that it builds strength because that would be a lie. BUT it doesn't half build stamina. I was building up a bit of a sweat after 25 minutes of playing that game. I think partly due to excitement but never the less, impressive! :D

I think my performance dipped after about an hours play. I started getting 0 pts on the first tennis training game.

I managed to win my first game of Baseball the other day. In the second innings I managed to get 18 runs including a home run. The computer actually brought the Mercy Rule into effect. . . . . I don't know if this is a real rule or not but I don't think that 18 runs is particularly high.

I love the fact that the created Mii's are on your baseball team. I had a team consisting of MiiMike, Liizziie and Chrisiie et al. :D

Ah that would explain why the pitcher was starting to sweat at each pitch! My skill level in Baseball increased to 450pts yesterday and it became harder.

Played a really annoying team that go 3 runs in one inning after I was winning 2-0 for 2 innings. . . .

I was glad to see that the Wii went down well on Saturday. There was mucho multi player fun and games to be had.

The highlight of the evening was deffo Woody's attempt at playing Tennis. I think he needed about q metres of space just to swing!

The Wii was great, plus I'm pretty impressed by the controllers (although I still don't get how to do spin in the tennis game!). As Woody was saying, he was expecting a bit of delay between moving the controller and it registering as such, but there's virtually none. Nintendo rock.

Was Saturday the night that the Wii took out its first victim?! Al took 2 good knocks to the arm from Alison that I saw as the competition really hotted up! Any bruises Al?
I suspect it cannot be long before further victims fall prey to the tyrany that is Wiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

I dont think Al got it too bad. You should check out wiihaveaproblem they are real damage and bloodshed. I really felt sorry for the woman who go a real shiner from 'wii playing'.

Thankfully no. Besides, Alison didn't hit me with the controller, but her fist. As that may have happened over the course of the evening anyway, I don't feel we can blame the Wii 100%!
