Forum Name Change?
I was thinking about changing the forum to Art and Design or something similar. We don't just discuss Architecture here so it seems like a more generic title is necessary. What do you think?
I think that the person who gets the best forum title should get a personalised user name and pip ranking. . . . :D

Whilst we're discussing name changes, surely the 'Cinema' forum is more a 'Film' forum, as a lot of the reviews are based on dvd rentals and not actual visits to the cinema.
Nothing says "romance" like a kidnapped injured woman!
Yup, let's go with both changes. And shouldn't this thread have been in the suggestions forum? *ahem*

Hey, I wasn't being touchy! Picky I have to agree with, though.
Anyways, some of Andy's suggestions are good. Or you could go with "Modern Renaissance", "Pretty, Slinky Things" or something totally random.

Architectural Conceptualisation covers the bald subject matter but aspires to the concept of the consideration of the architecture of the Universise and our lives within it.
With such a grand overall scheme the discussions within could replace all other sections and indeed all other websites.
I didn't get enough sleep yesterday, did I?

Art and Design??!!??!! That sounds like a bloody school subject. What happens to our ratings? Do we go from 'Master of the Winds' to 'GCSE Grade C' - and keep on posting until we're an A?
Architectural Conceptualisation - now that is a name that conjures up images of refreshing designs, modern trends and intellectual thinking. Art and Design conjures up images of walking down to a wood and sketching a tree and dipping your fingers in green paint to make the leaves.
I still prefer 'Conceptualisation' because then it is mine and I think johnriley is trying to nick my glory.

architectural conceptionalism seems like intellectual masturbation - its a phrase that exists in university circles so they can pretend its more complicated than it really is. leave the bloody section with the name its got rather than change it to that kind of grandiose pompousity.
I came, I saw, I bought the T-shirt
Shockingly, I'm with Fez on this one, although I'll phrase it a little differently: "The Arts" or "Art & Design" is succinct, and avoids confusion for any visitors (are there any visitors except spammers?).
