Hello all

I am pleased to say we are back online after a long absence. I hope you all find everything working on the new server. I hope that this is pointing to the correct database and will go smoothly. I don't expect any problems but please let me know if you find any glitches.

I think this could be a precursor to a thread or even a book called "The Wisdom of mr_e"

I too am intrigued to know what insights the lack of this forum has revealed!

The wisdom of mr_e would be good, I agree! Just to let you all know I am in the process of uploading more photo galleries but these are the ones online at the moment.

We really need to find you some gallery software that allows you to just dump the pictures in a folder, then let the program read whatever's there. Good to see some more photos up!

That would mean I am restained by the software layouts, what I really need is some helpful web person to point me in the direction of a database driven / php style page where I can upload. . . :D

I meant something like that, but typed gallery software...doh. You could always google it, stuff like that's usually freeware.

New Camera, Two Events and Two new Galleries! We have had a double whammy of events this weekend with a Wii Party on Friday 13 July and a very lucky Lambert who had sunshine for her BBQ on the 14th!

To celebrate these great events and also to play with the new Pentax K100D recently purchased I have already created two new galleries which can be found in the Photography Section or by following the links below.

Wii Party with some cruel photographs of Andy. . . sorry mate, but to be fair I was only recording the cruelty of others. . . . though the decision to publish is my contribution to this unfair treatment!

Claire's BBQ with an unusually high number of mr_e photos due to his amazingly funny and sunny face pulling! My new all time favourite still life ever can be found here and shows some marshmallows in a silver reflective bowl, I am extraordinarily pleased with this one.

PS Good BBQ Claire you were so very, very lucky with the weather which was great. The best bit though was the lack of hang over this morning; achieved despite consuming a really, really large amount of beer. I also avoided the whiskey when I came home, though I was seriously tempted (bad sign!).
