Impressive sketching

Post by Mike »

Hiya

Whilst stumbling I came across this persons website. It shows them sketching a woman from the inside out. It is very impressive and great to watch. I wish I could sketch like this.

It only takes about 2 minutes to watch and is well worth it.

That's a really nifty bit of software they're using as well. They've got a good sense of humour in drawing in the underwear as well. It's a nice piece, a couple of minor proportion issues, but very nicely done. Plus it shows the importance of anatomy knowledge for artists.

There is another website Al from work knows this person who works on concept artwork for major films and apparently worked on Star Wars 3. They are some very impressive bits of work.

See Feng Zu Design

This person is very, very good. 8)

Speaking of good sketching here is one of the best Leonardo Da Vinci

Are you saying Al from work knows Feng Zhu!? Or just the website? He did indeed do some Star Wars work, and is top-class.

You can find alot of professional artists on forums such as conceptart.org and cgtalk. Some scarily talented people, and truly huge user numbers.

You can't beat looking at some of the old master-works for some tips on composition and technique. Something that I should really do more of when I start drawing again.

Apparently Al (not BarcelonAl) but another one actually knows the person. He claims to have known him 10 years ago when he could not draw! How true it is? I don't claim to know!
