This film follows Jim after he wakes up from a coma in a deserted London Hospital. He meets up with other people and they struggle to survive in a post infected Britain.

There are some really good actors in this film who I did not recognise in the first watching. Christopher Eccleston and Cillian Murphey to name two. The film is good and I would rate


The only disappointing thing for me was the obvious re-hash of a a Terry Nation TV drama in the 1960's called The Survivors. The parallels (including the military base) were very very obvious! :D

I'll yet again concur with Mike, although I'd possibly give it half a star less. With regards to the Survivors, I think they were banking on most people of our generation never having seen it. I certainly haven't, but I suppose every generation revisits certain themes in the arts.

On reflection 28 Days Later is a little bit of a cross between survivors and a zombie horror movie. In survivors there were no infected left. They had all died, it was more a story about how they survived in the long term, not in the first 56 days.

It just goes to show that they did indeed have it worse in "the old days".

Don't say it was worse. A few people have been telling me that it was better in the old days! :D

must get around to seeing this sometime, though if its zombies you want, can't go wrong with peter jackson's braindead!

I have to admit that I enjoyed this film.
