Good to see some slinky electric and bio-fuel cars. There's no reason that type of car shouldn't be good-looking, as it's only a shell on top of the engine and chassis, after all. Might be a while before they're feasible to buy and run, I'd think.

The easiest and cheapest way into green motoring is to buy yourself a diesel car and instead of filling it up at the garage you do it from with vegetable oil from the cash and carry. Unfortunately in order for it to be legal you need to tell the tax man and pay fuel duty but other than that virtually any diesel will run on vegetable oil without any modifications.

I think it is advised that if you intend to permenantly run a diesel on vegetable that you should get the enging modified and thin it down with normal diesel or petrol.
And if you want to be super green you can even use filtered used chipshop oil (if you don't mind you car exhaust smelling like a chippy).
As I recall a bus company now uses all the waste oil from the Sharwoods popadom factory to run some "green buses"
