What does this mean?

Before anyone states the obvious, yes I know it means theres a problem. But how do I fix it? I think its a problem with uploading a new avatar. I want to upload the same image I use of my forum but I've resized it to 45x45px as ImageReady says that is as large as it can be and still be under the 6KB limit. I've tried uploading it directly from the hard drive on this comp but I get a warning saying it must be under 6KB. I get the following error when I try to upload it via Photobucket link:
Unable to upload file

DEBUG MODE

Line : 251
File : usercp_avatar.php
Any thoughts?

Try saving the file as a GIF

Had a quick Google, it seems to be a common issue. It pretty much means your avatar's too big. When it's on your computer, check the properties: with my current avatar, the "size" shows as 4.86KB, but the "size on disk" is actually 8.00KB.

Ok thanks for that.
