I was listening to this game with some people at work on the radio. They are so jammy coming from 2-0 down in the first half to winning 4-2. . . . what was that all about. The commentator was certain this is a turning point in the Premiership title race. I think there are three games left so I don't really think they have clinched it yet.

as much as it pains me to say so, there is nothing jammy about the manchester united result, they just have that supreme confidence that comes with being an embarassingly talented team. other sides would have given up at 2-0 down to everton who are no slotches themselves, but when you have the likes of rooney to call on you're never beaten until the final whistle goes. this is hardly the first time this has happened - anyone remember united coming from 3-0 down against tottenham to win 3-6?

the title race is effectively over now because chelsea have fallen apart since getting within three points of the lead, i don't know what's happened to them but two draws in the last two games, both of which they could have won, have scuppered their chances and they can only blame themselves for it. hopefully though they will win the fa cup to stop the prospect of another manchester treble, although as liverpool are going to whaltz away with the champions league that's not going to happen anyway

having watched the match live whilst doing my work...ahem...manchester united were never out of the match from the moment they went 2-0 behind. I know that sounds weird but there was always the thought that if they got 1 then they'd get 2, 3, etc. I have to say though that the goalkeeper helped them, the Phil Neville o.g. wasn't his fault. It was a poor clearance for the 3rd. I know people have gone on about luck and easy chances but they still had to put them away.

with regards to the newcastle-chelsea game, to be honest chelsea weren't that good and we raised our game.

against bolton, chelsea were pretty poor again and davies' goal was due to poor defending by Essien.

United under Fergie have always had a 'Never say die' spirit and it is that plus the sheer quality of one or two players (Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes, Giggs) that helps us turn the outcome of a seemingly lost cause into our favour. It was not even the first time this week that we'd gone behind to a side playing better football and gone on to win.

Remember we are the side who won the European Cup in injury time despite having been 1 - nil down for the majority of the match. In that season we also turned over the likes of Inter Milan in a similar fashion!

The problem with leaving it late is that it sometimes it backfires, hence the recent loss to Portsmouth and draw with Boro.

My final word on the matter is:

We weren't so jammy last night, in fact we were awful. Beaten solidly by the much better side.

Ah well, now we need to tie up the Premiership this weekend and concentrate on resting players in time for the FA Cup in a fortnight.

I've had beer chilling in the fridge since we beat Chelsea. Although I can't see us beating Milan again it would be great if we do.

They were not so Jammy in the new Wembley stadium where they? Al will be pretty disappointed.

I was gutted; partly due to the result, partly due to the fairly poor performances from both sides. It was hardly the match many wanted to open the new Wembley Stadium with (incidentally, did you know that the arch is wide enough to get a channel tunnel train through?!).

The first half was less exciting than watching paint dry, the second half picked up a bit more tempo but not much and extra time was just painful to watch. The only United players I thought gave their all were Rio, Vidic and Rooney.

Ah well...we've won the Premiership, City now haven't won a major trophy in 31 years and Liverpool are going to be shown a lesson in footballing excellence on Wednesday. Not a totally bad season!
