Best Building in the North West? Peoples Choice

The BBC NW are running a vote for the North West's best building. I only heard about it today but though you all might be interested.

I personally voted for the Liverpool Cathedral Steps and Visitor Centre. I decided to vote for this building because the new building has very much improved the presence of the existing cathedral. I was impressed by the sensitivity and skill presented in the building.

PS If anyone votes for the Astra Zenica Building I will be very disappointed. Despite its politically motivated nominations for the RIBA North West awards I am disappointed in the blatantly average commercialism displayed in the architecture. In a word - BORING!

I've voted for the Imperial War Museum, I think it brings an innovative and exciting building to an otherwise pretty desolate area of Manchester. Apparently no one else agrees with me, only 5% have voted for it. :(

I was quite disappointed the only explanation of the buildings was via videos that gave unequal time to each building. Kingsmead School looked cool from all five seconds of screen time, so I voted for that. The Grassmere one was also tempting.

I missed the closing date for votes but I would have voted for the Imperial War Museum North.
