The old one not the new one - with Micheal Cain.

Shockingly good and heavily reliant on how Michael Cain plays the role. I haven't seen the new one but don't think Jude Law could play the role. I picked it up believing it would be about an arrogant womaniser who walks suavely through life with memorable one-liners. It discribes itself as a comedy about sex and sin. But its more poignant than that and is worth watching with an open mind.

I have a copy and am willing to lend it out but think I promised Mr. Riley first (I will try and remeber on Tuesday!)

Hiya

I managed to watch this eventually. It was a good film rather fun and quirky. I thought it was interesting to see that Michael Caine had love handles and was still classed as a sexy star! You would not find that a star is sexy now unless they have Brad Pitt style buffness. Very good.

Fatness in celebrity

Post by liz.brownlloyd »

Yeah it is bizarre that everyone in magazines and tv and film all have not one once of fat on them. In a way it sets an unrealistic view of what is beautiful.

I personally get really annoyed at Victoria Beckham types and then very worried when you see loads of obese people everywhere. Surely neither extreme is good - personally I like having a comfortable place to sit and not feel like I'm fat and need to go on a diet! :P
