Wuthering Heights

Post by Mike »

This is a film on the Bronte book. Well, the film is simplistic. There is very little connection with the viewer and the characters. You don't even find out the name of one character. Heathcliff is just a bit of a git (I know he is meant to be) but with very little justification and a lot of meanness.

All in all a poor bore fest.

An absolutely poor attempt at recreating a classic novel !!! Quite simply this was butchery in my opinion, which is a real shame given the world class actors in the film( Juliette Binoche/ Ralph Fiennes/ Jeremy Northam)- if I were them I'd be ashamed that my name was associated with this film.

The book is dark, and fascinating and I totally loved it:

The film was trite, dull and poorly thought out. I agree with Mike
