Andy, it will take as much time as you want it too. I have just spent 20 mins playing it but that is only because I am finding it rather addictive. You can just pop along to spend some of the hard earned cash on stuff then leave if you want to.
It is fun attacking people though, helped me get about 2.500,000 gold pieces. I bet I am only seconds away from being seriously toasted though as they all must get pretty peeved by being robbed. On the plus side one dude said don't attack me else I will get you and make you pay, so I promptly attacked and took about 2 mill gp from him. We shall see if he actually makes me regret it.
The new alliance is called The Vesta Alliance. Prompts for a alliance description would be greatly appreciated! I have invited master000, if you aint got it then I sent it to the wrong dude!
Got my come-up-ance on Dark Throne, attacked some dude (don't know who!) and really annoyed his ally, who promptly attacked and kicked my ***. Oh well, tis the aim of the game!
On a plus side I got to reply to his message was pretty stupid because it did not mention who I attacked or what his alliance name was. Thusly I cant stop attacking them cos I don't know who it is!
A lot of the people on there seem to take it very personally when they're attacked. Some of the alliances are enormous, and the like to do 'mass-attacks' on anyone who attacks a member of their alliance.
Atcually scratch that a lot of people on DarkThrone seem to take the whole thing waaaaay to seriously.

Fez, I also think it is funny to wind them up - there is some sort of karma involved in doing a nasty deed and then realising and visualising the geek on the receiving end!

What is your username? or have you all ready joined the alliance. In the battle menu there is an option to attack different users, you will need some soliders first though! :D
OK, back to Nationstates for a second, has anyone noticed that certain issues crop up time and time again but are just slightly re-written if they are re-written at all! For example, I voted on gun laws being compulsory about two weeks ago and I voted again on it today! The same can also be said about me deliberating over weird cults - the order of the violet or whatever it was.
