Having watched the movie last night I think I'll pass on that idea. I'll definitely pass if you tell me his name is Ed Gein

Oh, Lordy. I've just remembered the scene you're talking about. I was thinking of Psycho, not the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. What a freakshow.

on the subject of this particular film, am i the only one who starts desperately wishing for leather-face to get on with it and kill that damn girl if only to stop her screaming so damn much?

Nope. What annoyed me was they had so many opportunities to kill her and didn't take one of them!

Also, I wanted the wheelchair guy (Franklin I think) to be killed off sooner, or better still, for him never to have been in it? I thought his death was disappointing, I wanted blood and guts to come oozing out. I really despised him. IMHO, after waiting a good few years to see that film, I was very disappointed.

The most disturbing thing about the film is that it left me with no sympathy for the kids at all. They frigging deserved it, wandering onto private property.

Disturbingly, I agree. They walked into the person's house for goodness sake - how was he to know that they were not psychotic killers? Personally, I think leather-face was misrepresented - he was just defending his home like the rest of us would.

For legal reasons I would like to say that I have never knowingly used a chainsaw maliciously or to incite violence and I have never knowingly cut off a person's face and worn it as a mask.

So that's why I've never been in your house!? Dead bodies wax-sealed to the walls, whilst you all walk around in flesh romper suits?
