working logic
working logic
despite school having finished for the children, i was still at work this week but looking forward to an easier ride than normal just doing what had to be done for one last week. i arrived at 9:30 in jeans and t-shirt for once and was the first member of staff through the door apart from the caretaker.
when the boss finally arrived, she said you can choose your own hours this week as long as everything gets done. 'great' i thought, 'fool' said experience. as it turns out i can choose my own hours as long as i do the same amount as normal - so tomorrow i could choose to go in at 10:30 provided i planned on staying until 6:00!
fuck that says i, i'll be in at 8:00 tomorrow. thankfully, the boss won't be in for most of the week so she'll never know what time i clock on and off, and to be fair she wouldn't hold rigidly to the hours anyway, but the point is why go into school later in the morning if you have to stay later in the afternoon? where's the logic in this? i might as well stick to the normal hours pretend its just like any other working week

I came, I saw, I bought the T-shirt
That's a taste of the evils of flexi-time for you. For instance, today I got in 45 minutes late, but was I going to stay until 6.30pm to make the hours up? Pff. I don't enjoy my job quite that much. Unfortunately, my hours do get monitored, though, so I'll have to make the damn time up.

i could, but missing the twelve o'clock sugar rush would leave me even more irritable and stressed than normal. nope, i'll have my hour and walk around the fields at pennington flash thank you very much. i had no idea until i worked here that there such a peaceful place within twenty minutes of leigh centre.

I like Pennington Flash a great deal. Incidentally, Culcheth Linear Park is also a very nice place to go to - it literally is linear as well! They have some gorgeous bramble bushes that me and Rowenna are going to go and pick when the time is right again.
It's just past CPS, on your bike about 25 minutes.

(those at my house on Thursday would know about this)
Wow, the conversation has almost turned to dogging. Excellent, or not, as the case may be.
